Walkable Places=Green Places

When we talk about the built environment, walkability is a huge key to creating places that are eco-friendly. Interested in helping to preserve the beauty of nature that surrounds us? Would you like to help conserve valuable resources like clean water and clean air for our children’s future? Then please help to promote walkability in your area. If we create complete neighborhoods at a walkable scale than we give people the opportunity to use transportation options other than driving. Lowering our car-dependency saves our environment in many ways. We can be much more efficient with our use of land, we pollute less, and use less energy.
