Florida may have some of the best beaches but you could get killedpedestrian_deaths_3 crossing the street to get there.

There is no state more dangerous for pedestrians than Florida, according to a report from the Governors Highway Safety Association.

During the first six months of 2014, 292 pedestrians were killed in the Florida. California was a distant second in pedestrian fatalities with 250.

Fifty more pedestrians were killed in those first six months, a 20 percent increase that surpassed every other state. The second biggest jump was Pennsylvania’s 21. Florida, California and Texas (231) each had 100 more pedestrians killed than any other state. The report didn’t say what made these populous state’s so dangerous.
